On April 5, a book market will be held in Warsaw in support of independent Belarusian publishers, who are now facing a new wave of repression.

Belarusian publishers — those who continue to publish, translate and distribute books — are now under pressure: in exile, they are being designated as “extremist”, while inside the country they are being detained. We live in exile, integrate, and put off “our own” until later — but culture does not survive “later”; it exists only as long as we remain within it.

“Let us not allow it to disappear and let us support it together, no matter what,” the organizers say.

Participating publishers: “Miane Niama”, Januskievič, Kamunikat, Gutenberg Publisher, “Polackija Labirynty”, ARCHE, AČK-Belarus.

The book market will be held at Karma Crew. Address: Al. 3 Maja 15. Start: 3 p.m.
