Belarus is introducing an extrajudicial procedure for recovering payments owed to citizens for work performed under civil-law contracts. The corresponding resolution was adopted by the Council of Ministers.
“A common procedure will be applied both for recovering remuneration and for recovering wages. Decisions on the recovery of arrears on these payments will be forwarded by the Department of the State Labour Inspectorate to enforcement authorities. At the same time, unified forms of documents issued by the department are being established,” the government press service explained.
The Department of the State Labour Inspectorate has been granted the relevant powers. It will establish cases of non-payment of remuneration to citizens.
The resolution also introduces other adjustments taking into account changes that have occurred in legislation.
