Belarus’ Defense Ministry organized a trip to the Bialowieza Forest for military attachés accredited with the ministry. Judging by the ministry’s statement, the purpose of the visit was to demonstrate the Polish border fence.
According to the Department of International Military Cooperation of the Defense Ministry, the attachés visited the currently closed Piererov border crossing point.
“They were informed about the situation in the border area and shown the 5.5-meter wall built in the relic forest,” the statement said.
It should be noted that a 5-for-5 prisoner exchange took place at this border crossing on April 28, resulting in the release of Andrzej Poczobut.
