Two people were detained at the Belarusian-Polish border over two days for attempting to transport drugs, the State Border Committee reported.
On Aug. 24, Belarusian border guards at the Bruzgi checkpoint found a suspicious package in a vehicle belonging to a resident of Homiel region. The package containing a white substance was hidden under the driver’s seat. An examination showed that the substance contained 4-CMC and 4-BMC.
On Aug. 25, a Polish citizen was detained at the Brest checkpoint. A package containing marijuana was found in his vehicle.
Criminal cases have been opened over the illegal trafficking and transportation of drugs across the border.
