Three foreigners were reportedly poisoned by death cap mushrooms in Lida, Lidskaya Gazeta reports.
The three foreigners collected mushrooms near the LidaPark shopping center in Lida. They cooked and ate the mushrooms and then began feeling unwell. On Aug. 19, they were hospitalized with diarrhea and vomiting in the infectious diseases department of the Lida Central District Hospital.
Two days later, the patients were transferred to the emergency hospital in Hrodna. Two of them are in intensive care, while one is in the toxicology department.
It was established that the foreigners had collected and eaten white-gilled mushrooms. They were presumably death caps.
