Reserve officers have been called up for service as part of a combat readiness check of the 51st Guards Artillery Brigade. The check began in recent days on the orders of Aliaksandr Lukashenka.
As Secretary of the Security Council Aliaksandr Valfovich explained, the officers will have to restore their professional skills and knowledge as quickly as possible and be ready to carry out tasks related to the formation of units.
“As part of this check, we are also examining how all support systems operate, including the military commissariat system. For them, the delivery of reservists is also an unscheduled and unexpected event.
Therefore, today we will also see how promptly they notified the reservists, organized their assembly, transportation and transfer of the officers to the command of the artillery brigade,” he said, according to the Defense Ministry’s press service.
