Belarus will increase the average standard labour hour cost for vehicle repair work from July 1. According to the Ministry of Finance, this benchmark is used to calculate compensation under compulsory third-party motor liability insurance.

The standard labour hour cost has increased by 14.8% for passenger cars, trucks, buses weighing up to 3.5 tonnes, trailers, quad bikes and mopeds, and by 13% for heavier vehicles.

“The changes to the average standard labour hour cost are necessary to ensure that insurance compensation corresponds to the actual cost of vehicle repair services in each region of Belarus and are aimed at protecting the property rights of road accident victims,” the ministry said.

In the regions, it will amount to 57.41 Belarusian rubles for vehicles up to five years old, 50.41 Belarusian rubles for vehicles aged between five and 10 years, and 47.4 Belarusian rubles for vehicles older than 10 years.

The standard labour hour cost for trucks, buses weighing more than 3.5 tonnes and trolleybuses will be:

  • 49.1 Belarusian rubles for brands from the former USSR and China;
