On July 10, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou met with Joao Osvaldo Machatine, Executive Coordinator of the Central Office for Reforms and Strategic Projects under the President of Mozambique, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said.
The two sides discussed expanding economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as implementing projects in Mozambique’s agricultural sector and in the field of food security.
The meeting resulted in an agreement to develop joint projects aimed at using Mozambican ports to export Belarusian products to markets across southern Africa.
Ryzhankou also proposed expanding educational programs for Mozambican students in Belarus, including studies in agriculture, healthcare, and information technology. The parties also discussed training specialists in the fields of defense and security.
The two sides reviewed preparations for agreements on visa-free travel for holders of diplomatic and service passports, as well as agreements covering healthcare, education, and culture.
