The average nominal accrued salary of public sector employees in Belarus amounted to 2,335.4 Belarusian roubles before tax in April. This was up 1.9%, or 44.6 roubles, compared with March.
The real average salary in the public sector increased by 10.1% in January–April. These figures were published by Belstat.
In April, salaries in public sector organisations amounted to 79.1% of the national average wage.
The average salaries of public sector employees in April were:
- in public administration — 4,004.2 roubles (+167.8 roubles compared with the previous month),
- for school teachers — 2,807.7 roubles (+31.2 roubles),
- for preschool educators — 1,924 roubles (+15 roubles),
- for university teaching staff — 3,312.5 roubles (+26 roubles),
- for doctors — 4,382.3 roubles (+50.7 roubles),
- for mid-level medical personnel — 2,349 roubles (+41.6 roubles).
