Uladzimir Astapenka has been appointed to head the Belarusian democratic forces’ delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
The delegation, elected by the Coordination Council, held its first meeting the previous day. The participants discussed priorities and an action plan, assigned areas of work in PACE committees and political groups, and elected the head of the delegation.
Coordination Council Speaker Artsiom Brukhan sent an official notification to the head of PACE about the establishment of the Belarusian delegation.
In addition to Uladzimir Astapenka, the delegation includes Pavel Latushka, Ksenia Lutskina, Yauhen Andreichyk, Aliaksandra Mamayeva and Hanna Skryhan.
