Another Criminal Case Opened Against Singer Marharyta Liauchuk

Singer Marharyta Liauchuk said on Instagram that a new criminal case has been opened against her in Belarus “for insulting Lukashenka.”

Marharyta Liauchuk currently lives in Ukraine, but her parents remain in her home country, where law enforcement officers carried out another search at their home, the singer said.

In June 2024, the singer was sentenced in absentia for “participation in the extremist formation ‘Rudabelskaya Pakazukha’ (Part 1, Article 361-1 of the Criminal Code) and committing a number of other crimes as part of it.”
