The State Control Committee of the Mahiliou Region has suspended the operations of a privately owned grocery and consumer goods store in the agrotown of Tsimanova in the Klimavichy District.
During the inspection, officials identified numerous violations of the law. In particular, products with expired shelf lives were found on sale, with some items more than 200 days past their expiry date.
The shop was also selling footwear without identification markings and without documents confirming its origin, quality and safety.
Inspectors also documented violations of sanitary regulations. Sausage products lacked information on the date and time their packaging had been opened, and the shop did not have control scales available. Some goods were being sold without price tags.
The State Control Committee noted that similar violations had already been identified at the same shop last year.
At the request of the regional State Control Committee, the store’s operations have been suspended until all identified violations and deficiencies have been fully remedied.
