Airspace above Vilnius Airport was closed again today from 19:36 to 22:30. According to the airport’s press service, navigation traces characteristic of balloons were detected in areas posing a risk to aviation.
Passengers were advised to monitor updates published by the airport and airlines.

Because of a hybrid attack carried out by Belarus against Lithuania, civil aviation and the public — and after navigation traces characteristic of balloons were detected in areas posing a threat to aviation — the airspace over Vilnius Airport was closed on 3 December at 22:24. The airspace restriction has been extended until 03:20 on 4 December, the airport said in a statement.
