The additional placement of the 409th issue of government bonds denominated in Belarusian rubles on the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE) was completed in just a couple of days. All the securities were purchased on Tuesday.
Last week, an auction was held for the placement of this bond issue, but at that time only 10 million Belarusian rubles’ worth of securities were sold. The bonds were assigned a fixed annual coupon rate of 9%.
Bonds with a face value of 1,000 Belarusian rubles and a total value of 60 million Belarusian rubles were offered in the additional placement. Securities worth 50 million Belarusian rubles were purchased on Monday, while the remaining 10 million Belarusian rubles were bought on Tuesday.
It is worth noting that two issues of U.S. dollar-denominated Finance Ministry bonds, issued in the spring, are still available for purchase on the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.
