Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya is taking part in events marking the anniversary of the 1863–1864 uprising in Vilnius. Video footage of the arrival of representatives of the Belarusian democratic forces at the cathedral was published by Nasha Niva.
The ceremonial events are attended by Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and Polish President Karol Nawrocki. According to the published program, following the church service, a ceremony honoring the memory of the uprising’s participants will be held at Rasos Cemetery.
The day before, at the invitation of the Chancellery of Polish President Karol Nawrocki, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya took part in a ceremony commemorating the participants of the 1863–1864 uprising in Warsaw. The Belarusian delegation also included Deputy Head of the United Transitional Cabinet Pavel Latushka, Speaker of the Coordination Council Artem Brukhan, and a veteran of the Kastus Kalinouski Regiment with the call sign “Bee.”
