Residents of the Malinauka and Sukhareva districts of Minsk may notice the smell of fuel oil over the coming days. The odour is linked to maintenance work at Minsk CHP-4 scheduled for Aug. 4-8.

“The Minsk CHP-4 branch of Minskenergo announces scheduled maintenance of equipment at its fuel oil facilities. The work is planned for Aug. 4-8, 2026. During the maintenance, a slight fuel oil odour may briefly be noticeable in the Malinauka and Sukhareva districts of Minsk,” Minskenergo said.

The maintenance poses no threat to the environment or residents’ health, Minskenergo said.
