The Western Operational Command of the Belarusian army has received SV-1000 Stilet sniper rifles for service, the State Military-Industrial Committee reported.
The rifles were developed by Kidma Tek OJSC. They are designed “to carry out special fire missions in the interests of army, reconnaissance and special units.”
The rifles are chambered for the 7.62×54R cartridge. It allows targets to be engaged at ranges of up to 1,000 meters.
“The weapon demonstrates high accuracy and shot grouping: at a distance of 100 meters dispersion is one-third of a minute of arc (about 1.0 cm), and at a range of 700 meters it is up to 14 cm, which ensures the guaranteed engagement of a standing target in the head,” the State Military-Industrial Committee said.
