Union State Programs Only Half Completed, Seliverstau Says

The main provisions of the Union State implementation plan for 2024-2026 have been completed only halfway, according to Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Yury Seliverstau.

“These documents must be implemented, especially in the areas of the economy, industry, agriculture, finance and transport. However, to date, only half of the 310 measures have been completed. And until the implementation deadline expires, excluding the reporting month of December, only six months remain,” he said, BelTA reported.

According to him, additional efforts are needed to ensure the measures are carried out.

“Of course, we understand that life does not stand still. Therefore, it can be assumed that not all measures can be completed for objective reasons. But in that case, we need to carefully analyze each such instance and make a coordinated decision on further action. In essence, this is our work in preparing and analyzing these documents so that we can provide guidance on how to proceed,” Yury Seliverstau said.

It should be noted that Russian and Belarusian officials are already discussing programs for the next planning period.
