Ukrainian forces struck two tankers belonging to Russia’s shadow oil fleet in waters near the entrance to the port of Novorossiysk. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said both vessels had been actively used to transport oil in circumvention of sanctions.
Zelenskyy thanked Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov for overseeing the operation, as well as counterintelligence officers of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Navy.
“Ukraine’s long-range capabilities will continue to develop comprehensively — at sea, in the air and on land”, he said.
