Ukrainian border guards have recorded the entry of a signal-relay balloon from Belarus. This was stated on the air of the “My Ukraina” television channel by the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andrii Demchenko.
“It should be understood that the threat from Belarus has not disappeared. (…) Belarus continues to support Russia, continues to play along. I cannot disclose everything openly now, but we can expect or prepare for attempts to destabilize the situation along our border, and we do not rule out provocations”, he said.
According to him, on the evening of May 2, border guards recorded the entry of a balloon from the Belarusian side. The balloon was used as a relay to amplify the signal of unmanned strike systems that Russia uses in attacks on Ukraine.
At the same time, he noted that there is currently no large concentration of Russian troops on the territory of Belarus.
