The Ministry of Transport and Communications has updated the list of countries whose carriers are allowed to enter transshipment and trailer exchange points. Ministry Resolution No. 2 of January 14 was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal.
According to the document, carriers from Kazakhstan will be allowed to enter these points until December 31, 2026, while carriers from Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Belarus will be allowed to do so until December 31, 2027.
As a reminder, in the autumn of 2023 the government changed the procedure for entry into transshipment and trailer exchange points. It was established that only vehicles registered in countries included in a list approved by the Ministry of Transport and Communications may enter them. Initially, only Belarus and Russia were included in this list. Other Eurasian Economic Union countries were added later. At the same time, Kazakhstan was periodically excluded from the list, taking into account the country’s position on restricting international transport from third countries using trailer exchange or transshipment. Thus, in 2025 Kazakhstan was returned to the list only in March, with permission for its carriers set to remain in effect until the end of the year.
Thus, with the new resolution, the Transport Ministry has extended the permission for carriers from Kazakhstan for another year. At the same time, a validity period for the permission was also established for other Eurasian Economic Union countries, whereas previously no such срок was specified in the resolution.
