Trade in Goods and Services Deficit Reached $1.8bn in 2025

The deficit in foreign trade in goods and services amounted to $1.8bn in 2025, according to data published by the National Bank of Belarus. Compared with the deficit in 2024, it increased by 18.3%.

Foreign trade turnover in goods and services last year again exceeded $100bn. It totalled $105.2bn and rose by 4.5%. Belarusian exports increased by 4.2% to $51.7bn, while imports grew by 4.7% to $53.52bn.

Exports of goods last year rose by 1.2% to just under $40bn. Imports of goods grew at a faster pace, increasing by 3.9% to almost $46bn. As a result, the trade in goods deficit expanded by 26.6% to $5.96bn.

Exports of services in 2025 grew by 16% to $11.72bn, while imports increased by 9.3% to $7.565bn. As a result, the surplus in foreign trade in services rose by 30.6% to $4.15bn, but this was not sufficient to offset the deficit in trade in goods.
