Naviband Social Media Accounts Declared ‘Extremist’

The social media accounts of the band Naviband have been declared “extremist materials”. The decision was made by the Dokshytsy District Court.

A number of printed publications were also declared “extremist”, including a book by Stanislau Shushkevich and quotes by Sviatlana Alexievich, as well as the following online resources:

  • the Telegram channels and chats “Skin Heads” and “Belultras.com / Ultras of Belarus and the World”;
  • Instagram pages “natagarl”, “instbelknihi”, “Sciahupolscy”, “daliya57” and “bottchergalina”;
  • the social media accounts “Biblijateka Kamunikat – Kamunikat”, “Belarusians of Action” and “Yuras Ziankovich”;
  • the website “Voice of Belarus”;
  • the YouTube channel “Belarusian Partisan”;
  • the YouTube video “This Is Not in the Textbooks: The Bloody History of Belarus”;
  • Threads accounts “i.m._yan_belarus”, “oscarbarsuk”, “listy.warszawa”, “awsienwiadka”, “Artsiom”, “Hanna” and “Anna Krasulina”;
  • the Odnoklassniki page “Ales SLAVyanin”;
  • Facebook pages “Dan Trubkin”, “Free Belarusians in Warsaw”, “Byaction” and “RUKH”;
  • TikTok accounts “Alena”, “美羅”, “Long Live Belarus!”, “GRAY_L1BERAL” and “А._._._._”.

The Belarusian authorities regularly use extremism-related accusations to target political opponents and dissent more broadly.
