Between March 15 and 17, three vehicles transporting timber and wooden pallets from Belarus were detained in Russia.

On March 15, in Russia’s Bryansk region, officers of Rosselkhoznadzor and customs stopped a truck carrying about 33 cubic metres of sawn timber. The cargo was en route from the Rechytsa Experimental Forestry Enterprise to the Voronezh region.

The driver presented a phytosanitary certificate that had been issued for a different vehicle. The document was declared invalid. The cargo was returned to the sender. The carrier was held administratively liable, Rosselkhoznadzor reported.

On March 16 and 17, in the Smolensk region, two vehicles transporting 432 wooden pallets from Minsk to the Moscow region were stopped. In both cases, the drivers did not have phytosanitary certificates for the cargo. The vehicles were returned to Belarus. The carriers were held administratively liable.
