Belarus’s Ministry for Taxes and Duties has reported on its efforts to combat “grey” wages in the first quarter of this year.
According to the ministry, concealed revenue totaling 76.8 million rubles was identified.
Tax authorities sent more than 31,000 messages and notices offering taxpayers the opportunity to voluntarily correct violations or provide relevant explanations. As a result, an additional 37.8 million rubles in personal income tax was paid.
Following inspections carried out by tax authorities, 274 cases of unpaid personal income tax were identified, and taxpayers were ordered to pay a total of 59 million rubles in personal income tax.
