Belarusian company Radar Design Bureau, part of the State Military Industry Committee system, is introducing artificial intelligence into electronic warfare systems.

The committee’s press service said the company is completing development of the Ross automated control station. The new system is intended for automated and non-automated control of radio monitoring and radio suppression systems targeting communication channels, data transmission and satellite navigation.

A key feature of the development is described as deep integration of AI. According to the committee, this allows not only the detection of radio emission sources, but also the forecasting of developments in the electronic warfare environment, automatically selecting suppression modes without harming friendly communication channels.

“For the first time, the capability to receive data from radio frequency monitoring systems tracking the air situation has been implemented. This makes it possible to detect drones in time, predict their route and choose the most effective methods of counteraction,” the committee added.

The system is also expected to reduce the workload on operators.
