The body of a man born in 1957 has been recovered from an artificial reservoir in the village of Sakolniki in the Vitsyebsk District, the Belarusian Society for Water Rescue (OSVOD) reported. The body was about four metres from the shore when it was spotted by a fisherman. He hooked it with his fishing rod from a distance of 25 metres and pulled it closer to the bank.
According to the man’s relatives, he had left home the previous day in an unknown direction and did not return.
