Head of the United Transitional Cabinet Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, representatives of the United Transitional Cabinet, the Office of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, the Coordination Council, the association of former Belarusian security officers BELPOL, and the international expert initiative iSANS held a joint meeting on security issues.

The participants discussed issues related to a possible escalation involving Belarus. Particular attention was paid to analyzing the regional security situation, the United Transitional Cabinet said.

The participants pointed to a number of indicators that, in their view, may suggest that the Putin regime is preparing for another phase of escalation. They also said there is a high probability that Belarusian territory and the Lukashenka regime could be drawn into such a scenario.

The meeting also addressed possible responses by the Belarusian democratic forces to further developments. As a result, the participants agreed to establish a permanent working group on security issues and to further strengthen coordination among the key structures of the Belarusian democratic forces.

The participants also discussed support for Belarusian volunteer fighters and communication with international partners, with particular emphasis on strengthening cooperation with Ukraine. They considered ways in which the Belarusian democratic forces could provide practical assistance to Kyiv.
