Slovak Foreign Ministry Welcomes Belarus’ Plan to Open Embassy in Bratislava

Alyaksandr Dapkiunas, Belarus’ ambassador to Austria, Slovenia, and Slovakia (non-resident), arrived in Bratislava on an introductory visit.

Dapkiunas met with Marek Estok, State Secretary of Slovakia’s Foreign Ministry. The sides discussed prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation between Slovakia and Belarus in the fields of culture, education, and the arts, as well as the potential for economic cooperation.

“I welcome Belarus’ decision to reopen the Embassy in Bratislava next year,” Estok said.

Belarus plans to resume the work of its embassy in Slovakia in 2026. It has been closed since 2023.
