Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou held a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
As reported by the Foreign Ministry, the ministers exchanged “views on a range of issues on the bilateral agenda, including within the framework of Union integration, and touched upon current international issues.”
The schedule of Belarusian-Russian contacts at the highest and high levels for the current year was also discussed during the conversation.
However, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s statement does not mention any discussion of the schedule of contacts.
“On May 19, a telephone conversation took place between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S.V. Lavrov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus M.V. Ryzhankou.
The heads of the foreign ministries discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation and coordination in the international arena and exchanged views on topical issues of the global and regional agenda,” the Russian ministry said in its statement.
