Belagroprombank has introduced a fee, effective July 2, for accepting cash Russian rubles at its branches to top up current accounts held by non-resident individuals. Several other banks have previously introduced similar charges.
The fee is set at 5% of the deposited amount. It will be charged in Belarusian rubles at the National Bank’s exchange rate. The fee takes effect immediately for accounts opened after July 1 and from Aug. 1 for accounts opened before that date.
In addition, from Aug. 1, Belagroprombank will introduce a daily limit of 600 Belarusian rubles on transfers to payment cards issued by banks in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Georgia, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan.
