An orange weather alert remains in effect across Belarus today. Forecasters have issued a storm warning.
“On July 2 (Thursday), thunderstorms are expected across most of the country. In some areas, thunderstorms will be accompanied by heavy downpours and squally winds with gusts of 15–20 meters per second. In Minsk, thunderstorms are expected on July 2 (Thursday), with localized wind gusts of 15–20 meters per second during the day. Daytime temperatures in the southeastern half of the country will reach +30 to +33 degrees Celsius,” the warning said.
On July 3–4, weather conditions in Belarus will be influenced by frontal systems and cooler air masses moving in from northwestern Europe. The heat is expected to ease.
