Record Inventory Levels Continue to Rise in February

Industrial inventories continued to grow in February, reaching a new record. Over the past month, they increased by 1.3%, or 156.77 million rubles, to 12.2 billion rubles.

Inventories in the manufacturing sector rose by 152.8 million rubles to 12.1 billion rubles.

Among regions, the largest inventories were accumulated in the Minsk Region, amounting to 2.85 billion rubles, followed by Minsk with 2.5 billion rubles. In all regions, inventories exceeded 1 billion rubles.

Over the year, inventories increased by 17.65%, or 1.82 billion rubles.

As of March 1, inventory levels stood at 90.6% of average monthly production volumes. In manufacturing, the figure reached 108.6% of average monthly production volumes. It should be noted that inventory growth is occurring amid a continued decline in output.

Over the year, inventory levels increased by 14.9 percentage points nationwide and by 20.4 percentage points in the manufacturing sector.
