Vladimir Putin said Russia and Belarus are ready to ensure the military security of the Union State using all available forces and means. He made the statement at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State.
He recalled the intergovernmental Treaty on Security Guarantees within the framework of the Union State, which entered into force last year. According to him, the document is aimed at protecting the sovereignty, independence and constitutional order of the two countries, as well as ensuring territorial integrity and safeguarding external borders.
“I am convinced that together with our Belarusian friends we will continue to do everything necessary to ensure that military security is guaranteed by all the forces and means available to our countries,” Putin stressed.
