The Belarusian Council of Ministers has reallocated budget funds for the Foreign Ministry, Finance Ministry, Ministry of Natural Resources and the Academy of Sciences under Resolution No. 352 of July 10. The document was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal.
As a result, the agencies will receive additional funding:
- the Foreign Ministry — 1.23 million rubles to renovate the building at 19 Lenina Street,
- the Finance Ministry — 222,000 rubles for major repairs to the building at 6 Puhachouskaya Street,
- the Ministry of Natural Resources — 1.946 million rubles for research under the “Innovative Technologies for the Sustainable Use of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, 2026–2030” programme,
- the Academy of Sciences — 4.3 million rubles to conduct research under the “Science for the Economy and Society” programme for 2026–2030 and develop the material and technical infrastructure of scientific organisations, as well as 8.1 million rubles to purchase mineral fertilisers and organise production by organisations of the National Academy of Sciences.
The funds will be secured by reducing spending on:
- the Presidential Property Management Directorate — by 1.23 million rubles,
- the Finance Ministry — by 96,000 rubles for adult continuing education,
- the Foreign Ministry — by 126,000 rubles for opening and maintaining diplomatic missions,
- the Ministry of Natural Resources — by 250,000 rubles for international scientific and technical cooperation,
- the Academy of Sciences — by 9.8 million rubles for fundamental scientific research and by 4.3 million rubles for fuel and energy.
