Four Belarusian companies will invest nearly one billion rubles in the Vitsyebsk region, Vitsyebsk Regional Executive Committee Chairman Aliaksandr Rahozhnik said during Aliaksandr Lukashenka‘s visit to the Orsha district today.
Lukashenka previously said he would give additional responsibilities in the Vitsyebsk region to businessmen Yauhen Baskin of Servolux and Aliaksandr Mashenski (Alexander Moshensky) of Savushkin Product, as well as the Dziarzhynsky Agro-Industrial Complex.
“The Dziarzhynsky Agro-Industrial Complex has already taken over the Orsha Meat Processing Plant. Its economic performance has improved significantly. There is absolutely no doubt that this was the right decision”, Rahozhnik said.
According to him, the agro-industrial complex will also invest in a poultry facility and a cattle fattening facility.
“Savushkin Product is reconstructing the Polatsk Dairy Plant. Modernisation is in full swing. Equipment is arriving”, the regional executive committee chairman continued.
Another investment project is being implemented by the Horki Food Plant. Following modernisation, the Vitsyebsk Dairy Plant will be able to produce a fermented milk drink.
Finally, Servolux will invest in agricultural organisations in the Dubrouna district. Agreements have been reached on the construction of several livestock complexes, while promising projects involving other investors are also under consideration.
The total cost of the new projects amounts to nearly one billion rubles.
