As previously announced, at midnight today (or 2 a.m. Belarus time) Poland opened the Kuznica-Bialostocka and Bobrowniki checkpoints. The first vehicles have already been able to cross the border.

Kuznica (Bruzgi) is reopening for passenger vehicles, excluding buses, while Bobrowniki (Bierastavitsa) is reopening for buses and trucks registered in the European Union, the European Free Trade Association, the European Economic Area, and Switzerland.

Belarusian state propaganda outlets broadcast live reports from the border. The press service of the Hrodna Regional Executive Committee published the first footage of the reopening. It was reported that 30 minutes before the opening, more than 60 vehicles were already waiting in line on the Belarusian side.

Poland closed the Bruzgi–Kuznica crossing in the Hrodna region in autumn 2021, when disturbances involving migrants occurred near the checkpoint. The Bobrowniki crossing was closed in February 2023 in response to repressions against the Polish minority in Belarus.

Until 17 November, two road crossings operated on the Belarus–Poland border: Brest–Terespol for passenger cars and buses, Kozlovichi–Kukuryki for freight vehicles, as well as rail crossings for freight trains Kuznica-Bialostocka–Hrodna, Semyanowka–Svislach, and Terespol–Brest.
