On 20 November, the chargé d’affaires of Belarus in Poland was summoned to the Polish Foreign Ministry. He was handed a diplomatic note requesting the extradition of two Ukrainian citizens suspected of carrying out sabotage on Poland’s railways, PAP reported, citing the ministry’s spokesperson Maciej Wewiór.

According to Wewiór, the note requests the extradition of “two Ukrainian citizens suspected of committing, on behalf of the intelligence services of the Russian Federation, terrorist-type crimes in connection with the incidents in the towns of Mika and Gołąb.”

Between 15 and 17 November, an explosive device of military origin was detonated and a steel clamp that could have caused a train derailment was installed on the Warsaw–Lublin railway line. The incidents were classified by Polish prosecutors as acts of terrorist-type sabotage. Charges were brought against two Ukrainian citizens — Alyaksandr K. and Yevhen I. — who left for Belarus.
