On April 13, the KGB decided to designate two initiatives as “extremist formations.” Today, the Interior Ministry added information about them to its official list.

According to the KGB, Pavel Liber and Daniil Harkavy are linked to the “extremist formation ‘TRY SLANY’” and the “SVAE” application. It should be noted that other platforms and applications created with Pavel Liber’s involvement had previously also been designated as “extremist formations.” With this latest decision, there are now five such “formations” on the list linked to him.

“Try Slany” is a platform that, among other things, publishes information about elections to the Coordination Council. The list also includes the platform’s website, applications on various marketplaces, and social media accounts.

According to the KGB, Veranika Stankevich, Dzmitry Furmanau, Yuliya Lyuzina, Yuliya Hanetskaya, Agata Shnip, Artur Udris, and Darya Davydzka are linked to the “extremist formation” “Volnyya” (“Volnyya — Assistance to Free Political Prisoners of Belarus”). The initiative’s website, as well as its Facebook, Instagram, and Telegram accounts, were also added to the list.

Recall that accusations of extremism are regularly used by the Belarusian authorities to target opponents and dissent in general.
