A meeting of the organizing committee for the March 25 Freedom Day celebration was held on March 2. The meeting was attended by representatives of the United Transitional Cabinet, the Office of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, political parties, as well as co-organizers of events in Vilnius and Warsaw.
Paval Sieviaryniec was elected chair of the organizing committee.
The committee aims to define common priorities and key messages for this year’s Freedom Day celebrations, as well as to coordinate and support events organized by Belarusian diasporas in various cities and countries, the Office of Tsikhanouskaya reported.
The task of the organizing committee is to facilitate better coordination among initiatives and organizers of events in different cities.
The next meeting is scheduled for this week in an expanded format. Representatives of diasporas and initiatives involved in organizing Freedom Day events around the world are invited to participate.
