Orange Weather Warning Issued Over Heavy Snow in Southeastern Belarus

An orange-level weather warning due to heavy snow has been issued for southeastern Belarus.

“On January 6 (Tuesday), from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., heavy snow is expected in the southeastern part of the country and will persist until the end of the day,” meteorologists said in the warning.

Cloudy conditions will prevail across Belarus today. Snow is expected over most of the territory. In some areas, light fog and glaze ice are forecast, with icy conditions on certain stretches of roads. Winds will be southeasterly to easterly, moderate and gusty in places. Maximum air temperatures will range from minus 1 to minus 7 degrees Celsius.
