Almost one-third of Belarus’ retail trade turnover is generated by Minsk. According to Belstat, retail turnover in Minsk amounted to 8.43 billion rubles in January-March, accounting for 32.9% of the nationwide total.
Retail trade turnover growth in the Belarusian capital reached 8.2% in the first quarter.
Minsk also accounted for 62% of wholesale trade turnover (25.9 billion rubles) and 48.7% of public catering turnover (861 million rubles).
