Nuns from the St. Elisabeth Convent have again arrived in Sweden to sell goods. They were seen in one of the churches in the town of Täby, according to the People’s Embassy of Belarus in Sweden.
The embassy reports that the nuns present their sales as “fundraising for orphanages”.
The St. Elisabeth Convent and its spiritual leader, Archpriest Andrey Lemeshonak, are known for publicly supporting Russia’s aggressive war against Ukraine. The convent has repeatedly organised events backing Russian aggression. In recent years, the nuns have been expelled from Christmas markets in several European countries.
