Polish President Karol Nawrocki held a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump on Sunday evening.
“Nawrocki thanked the American leader for his commitment and contribution to the release of Andrzej Poczobut“, the Polish president’s press service said.
The two leaders also discussed the security situation, including the presence of US troops in Europe. Nawrocki and Trump reaffirmed the strength and importance of the Polish-American alliance.
The call came amid statements by Trump about the withdrawal of US troops from Germany.
