More than 150 cargo trucks operated by Uzbek carriers have been stranded in Belarus following the closure of the Belarus–Lithuania border. To assist the drivers, working groups were formed from representatives of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan, the embassies of Uzbekistan in Latvia and Belarus, as well as the Association of International Road Carriers (AIRCUZ), reported the Uzbek Ministry of Transport. The groups visited the drivers in the border zone near Polatsk (Belarus) on 12–15 November, as well as in the Zarasai–Medumi border area on the Lithuania–Latvia frontier. The drivers were issued 229 transit permit forms for passage through Latvia.

On 29 October, Lithuania closed its border checkpoints with Belarus until 30 November due to weather balloons crossing from Belarus, which disrupted airport operations. In response, Belarus banned the exit of Lithuanian trucks. The vehicles were moved to designated paid parking areas.
