The Minsk Metro will receive another 15 railcars this year produced by the Russian enterprise Metrovagonmash. The supply contract was signed on February 25.
Three five-car trainsets will be formed from Minsk-2024 model railcars. The Russian company won the tender for the procurement of the railcars.
It is noted that Metrovagonmash widely uses Belarusian components and equipment in the production of the railcars. The model was developed specifically for the Minsk Metro.
Transmashholding, which includes the train manufacturer, is also introducing “innovative digital solutions ensuring safety and automated train traffic control” in the Belarusian capital’s metro system.
