The Minsk City Executive Committee will begin developing the territory of the Zeleny Bor neighborhood this year. The area will be located on the site of a former landfill near Minsk. This was announced by Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Uladzimir Kukharau after reporting to Alyaksandr Lukashenka.
“A large territory will be developed, housing will be built for those in need — more than 4 million square meters. We are starting the development of these territories this year,” he said.
Last year, Lukashenka signed an order on construction in the neighborhood. Housing will be built there for people in need of improved living conditions, including rental and social apartments. The customer will be the Minsk City Executive Committee’s Capital Construction Department enterprise.
Kukharau also reiterated that the discussion concerned the implementation of an instruction to limit construction in Minsk.
“We will work to reduce housing construction. Only for those in need. Because the city is already almost fully built up. We must do everything to ensure comfortable living conditions for residents of the city of Minsk,” he said.
