Belarus’ Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade complained to Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service about the sale of counterfeit Belarusian goods. Among them were products marketed in Russia under the supposedly Belarusian brand “Batkin Reserve.”

MART found that goods presented as Belarusian were being sold in Russia despite not actually being produced in Belarus. Counterfeit products were identified that listed OJSC Luninets Dairy Plant, OJSC Slutsk Cheese-Making Plant, OJSC Molochny Mir, OJSC Milkavita and OJSC Rahachou Milk Canning Plant as manufacturers.

MART said the products are manufactured in Russia or China, while their packaging features the Belarusian state flag and inscriptions such as “made in Belarus” or “Belarusian goods.” More than 25 counterfeit Belarusian products were found on the Ozon and Wildberries marketplaces, including under the “Batkin Reserve” brand.
