Alyaksandr Lukashenka has signed a decree calling reserve officers to military service in 2026.
According to the document, the draft applies to male citizens of Belarus under the age of 27 who are reserve officers, have not completed compulsory military service or reserve service in the Armed Forces, and are not entitled to deferment. The call-up covers both the Armed Forces and border service agencies.
“The measures предусмотренные by this document are carried out annually by the Armed Forces on a planned basis. Implementation of the decree will make it possible to improve staffing levels in primary officer positions and ensure the training of the mobilization reserve”, the Lukashenka press service said.
