Lithuanian Customs Seize Fake Armani and Hermès Goods Bound for Belarus

Lithuanian customs seized a shipment of counterfeit branded clothing and footwear that was bound for Belarus. The fake goods will be destroyed.

The counterfeit items were discovered by officers of the Vilnius Territorial Customs Office while inspecting a shipment travelling from Switzerland to Belarus in transit through Lithuania. Customs officers detained 170 suspicious items, including vests, T-shirts and slippers bearing the Armani, Hermès, Lacoste and Yves Saint Laurent labels. The declared value of the goods was around 900 euros.

Customs contacted the trademark holders and received confirmation that the detained goods were counterfeit. A decision was then made to destroy the fake items.
